Request for input in discussion forum[edit]

Given the closely linked subjects of the various religion, mythology, and philosophy groups, it seems to me that we might benefit from having some sort of regular topical discussion forum to discuss the relevant content. I have put together the beginnings of an outline for such discussion at Wikipedia:WikiProject Religion/2011 meeting, and would very much appreciate the input of any interested editors. I am thinking that it might run over two months, the first of which would be to bring forward and discuss the current state of the content, and the second for perhaps some more focused discussion on what, if any, specific efforts might be taken in the near future. Any and all input is more than welcome. John Carter (talk)

Proposal to merge Edith Schaeffer and Francis Schaeffer[edit]

An editor has proposed merging the Edith Schaeffer and Francis Schaeffer articles. See Talk:Francis_Schaeffer#Merger_proposal. -- 202.124.72.236 (talk) 13:44, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Some of the edits and deletions at L'Abri, Edith Schaeffer, and Francis Schaeffer also bear some scrutiny. -- 202.124.72.155 (talk) 16:20, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

Opinion sought regarding Eternal Life[edit]

We are having a 3 way discussion on the issue of Eternal Life in Christianity.

The specific issue at hand is that of eternal life being only "here and now" vs having a component "in the future" as well.

A few informed comments based on suitable sources will be appreciated. Thanks. History2007 (talk) 12:49, 20 September 2011 (UTC)

Proposed redirection of Christianity subproject talk pages[edit]

I have recently started discussion about possibly eliminating the use of a separate talk page for it here. Input from any interested editors is very welcome and encouraged. Thank you. John Carter (talk) 22:17, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

Redundant member lists[edit]

We should merge Wikipedia:WikiProject Calvinism/Participants and Wikipedia:WikiProject Calvinism/Members. – Lionel (talk) 09:31, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

Help needed: Chalcedon Foundation[edit]

Editors familiar with Christian Reconstruction may wish to join the discussions at Chalcedon Foundation, which is undergoing a rewrite. StAnselm (talk) 22:22, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

Cfd discussion concerning Wikiproject Calvinism[edit]

I proposed deletion of Category:Reformed Christians in accordance with the text at Category:Calvinism, which states the terms should be used synonymously in the cat tree (also see Wikipedia:WikiProject Calvinism/FAQ#What things should be included as "Calvinist"? Are "Calvinist" and "Reformed" the same thing). If you would like to contribute, please do so here: Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2012 November 26#Category:Reformed Christians. --JFHutson (talk) 21:53, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

George Kendall (theologian)[edit]

Hello everyone! There is an article (stub) being started at User:Hamamelis/sandbox about George Kendall (provisionally titled "George Kendall (theologian)") which would fall under the scope of this project. He was a critic of John Goodwin (preacher), among others. It was suggested to me by Jfhutson that I might bring this to your awareness here, in the hope of raising the article's notability by attracting comments, and/or contributions, before moving it into article space. Please feel free to edit it as you see fit, and/or comment on it's talk page (which doesn't yet exist); all are welcome. Thanks, Hamamelis (talk) 19:54, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Portraits of 42 protestant reformers[edit]

Hi everyone! You may want to have a look at this recently uploaded high resolution picture with portraits of 42 protestant reformers. Beat Estermann (talk) 22:52, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

RfC on Gary North[edit]

Question: Regarding two of the subsections in Gary North (economist) -- which are cited by original sources rather than secondary soures, and decribe his views on homosexuality and Native Americans (which largely stem from his conception of Calvinist theology) – are they proper? Please see the discussion here. Steeletrap (talk) 05:43, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

GAN for New Brunswick Theological Seminary[edit]

If anyone from this WikiProject wants to take a whack at a GA review for New Brunswick Theological Seminary, the Reformed Church in America's seminary in New Brunswick, New Jersey, I'd appreciate it. --ColonelHenry (talk) 14:44, 24 September 2013 (UTC)

Calvinist doctrine on Template:Comparison_among_Protestants[edit]

There is currently an ongoing discussion on Template_talk:Comparison_among_Protestants concerning substantial changes to the summary of Calvinist doctrine in Template:Comparison_among_Protestants. This template is used on multiple pages. I invite all to join.--Epiphyllumlover (talk) 17:47, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
