This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.
If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

[edit] Amerikka, Finland
There is currently a redirect at the title Amerikka, Finland pointing to Amerika (disambiguation), which offers no relevant entries. This redirect has been nominated at RfD, and in looking at it I've discovered there is a village with this name in the Vieremä municipality, but no other information about it. Input from members of this project would be most welcome at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion/Log/2011 November 19#Amerikka, Finland where the discussion about what to do with the redirect is happening. Hello. Could anybody take a look at this article, please? I've declined the speedy deletion nom, but I'm not entirely sure, as I can't speak or read Finnish :) Thanks. --Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 17:54, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- I do not know the criteria, but I think the Puupäähattu is enough to show him being noteworthy. The reference for the price says he has been translated into French and Polish, which seems to confirm it further. --LPfi (talk) 20:22, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

- Thanks for checking out, LPfi. I've added more refs and facts. It is still a stub, but I think it has potential. Best. --Vejvančický (talk | contribs) 07:30, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
[edit] WikiWomen's History Month
Hi everyone. March is Women's History Month and I'm hoping a few folks here at WP:Finland will have interest in putting on events (on and off wiki) related to women's roles in Finland's history, society and culture. We've created an event page on English Wikipedia (please translate!) and I hope you'll find the inspiration to participate. These events can take place off wiki, like edit-a-thons, or on wiki, such as themes and translations. Please visit the page here: WikiWomen's History Month. Thanks for your consideration and I look forward to seeing events take place! SarahStierch (talk) 21:56, 1 February 2012 (UTC)
[edit] Assessment?
Could someone inform me whether there is anything I'm not doing right as a newbie, since I have been waiting for assessment and rating for an article Healthcare in Finland for almost two months? :) Naturally, I have listed the article in requesting an assessment section. It's also still awaiting two project ratings... any tips? cheers! --Health78 (talk) 13:44, 4 February 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think many users watch the assessment page, so your request may have gone unnoticed. I have assessed the article now. Prolog (talk) 16:51, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
