[edit] Bristol Temple Meads
Bristol Temple Meads railway station is currently rated B-class, but recent edits have probably moved this close to GA. before I turn it over for a formal assesment, perhaps members of this project would like to take a look and see what else needs doing. [edit] A question
Hello! Please let me know how Kirikaki platform (切り欠きホーム) is called in English.
On the right diagram, #1 platform is called Kirikaki platform (切り欠きホーム) in Japan. It is used for branch line or short train. It exists in many station. For example at Ayase Station there exists Kirikaki platform #0 for Kita-ayase branch. Please see image:TokyoMetro-ayase-platform-for-kitaayase.jpg Thank you. Penpen (talk) 15:30, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] U.S. railway stations without geographical coordinates
I've used CatScan to generate a list of U.S. railway stations that lack geographical coordinates.
The articles are all marked with {{coord missing}} tags, which need to be replaced with {{coord}} tags that contain the location's latitude/longitude coordinates; or you might be able to add coordinates to an existing infobox, where appropriate. You can find out how to do this, and how to format {{coord}} tags, at the Wikipedia:Geocoding how-to for WikiProject members. -- The Anome (talk) 13:07, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Just a note that, over the past couple of months, I've managed to clear from the list (I think) all the remaining active Amtrak stations, Metra (Chicago) stations, Metro North (New York) stations, and New Jersey Transit stations, along with a few others. I hope I haven't missed anything. I'm getting rather tired of this activity for the moment, though, so I'll leave the other U.S. commuter lines for someone else. Deor (talk) 02:39, 6 May 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Railway stations in other countries without geographical coordinates
Lists for other countries can be generated similarly to the above, by changing the category entries in the search form in the obvious way.
For example:
- list of railway stations in Japan lacking geographical coordinates
- Railway stations in Australia missing geographic coordinates
- Railway stations in France missing geographic coordinates
- Railway stations in Germany missing geographic coordinates

[edit] Sheffield station
I'm not an expert on your assessment of pages, so I thought I'd better ask here: Sheffield station is rated B class but has just one reference and only a limited amount of content. Would one of you possibly have a look and see if the rating should be downgraded? Many thanks, Schumi555 (talk) 15:11, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
[edit] More UK stations to geocode
I've made a list of disused, heritage, and proposed UK railway stations that need geocoding at User:The Anome/Yet more railway stations to geocode. A specialized page is available at User:The Anome/Disused and heritage UK railway stations still lacking coordinates for picking pre-Beeching-Axe stations off old maps. -- The Anome (talk) 12:56, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Review and assessment request
Hello. Could I get a review and assessment of Nashville Riverfront (Music City Star station). It's a short article, but I think it includes pretty much every piece of info ever published about the station. Thanks! Kaldari (talk) 16:37, 1 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit] train station names
(notice cross-posted at WikiProject Trains also) I'm not a trains person but have been coming across multiple articles about U.S. NRHP-listed and other train stations and renaming them, while working on disambiguation pages like Union Station (disambiguation). I found my way to the proposal on naming conventions for stations, and opened a new discussion section at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (stations)#Historic or otherwise named stations. Please visit. doncram (talk) 16:08, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Flag stops?
There are many stops listed for inter-city lines in Canada where there is no station per se, but instead trains will stop to take on or drop passengers who pre-arrange. These are "flag stops", and I'm wondering whether or not they should be counted as stations as far as WP Stations is concerned. Thanks, PKT(alk) 15:02, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Talk:Paris Métro Line 12/GA2
A GA review of Paris Métro Line 12 has been put on hold for seven days. Clean up and cite tags have been placed on the article to indicate where work needs to be done. SilkTork *YES! 02:07, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
[edit] Ridership
I'm creating a list of stations for SEPTA Regional Rail and want to include ridership in the table. SEPTA's business plan lists the daily boardings and alightings for each station. For the ridership column, should I use the boardings value, alightings value, or should I add them both together for a total? –Dream out loud (talk) 07:25, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
| Neverland SEPTA station |
|
|---|---|
| Station statistics | |
| Other information | |
| Traffic | |
| Passengers (2010) | 13,040 (boardings) 15,310 (alightings ) 28,350 Total<+ref> |
- Why not enter the ridership in each station article, where parameters already exist, instead of hidden in some remote list? Oh! Perhaps you don't want to do that much work. Secondarywaltz (talk) 18:00, 6 January 2011 (UTC)
- I was planning on doing both and just wanted an opinion. Oh! And perhaps you don't have to be such a jerk. –Dream out loud (talk) 00:23, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry you took my comments out of context. Some people have to prioritize what time they can contribute to Wikipedia. I was about to offer help in setting up a database template, so the station articles don't have to be reedited every time the statistics change. See Spadina (TTC) for an example of how this works to give a total ridership for two lines. Secondarywaltz (talk) 01:59, 8 January 2011 (UTC)

[edit] Hoax?
I've prodded the article Iwade Railway Station because I can find no evidence of the existence of such a station. I am, however, not a resident of the UK, and if anyone more familiar with the area can supply a source relating to the supposed station, please feel free to do so and deprod it. Deor (talk) 21:15, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
- A bit late to the party, but Swale Halt is the nearest to Iwade. Maybe a redirect would be in order as a plausible search term? Mjroots (talk) 05:20, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
