Wild horse or Wild horses may refer to:

[edit] Equine-related

  • Wild horse (Equus ferus), an undomesticated species that roamed Asia and Europe. Here, "wild" means that the species as a whole has not been domesticated
    • Przewalski's Horse (Equus ferus przewalskii or Equus przewalskii), the only true wild horse alive today
    • Tarpan (Equus ferus ferus), became extinct in the late 19th century, the only other undomesticated horse surviving into historical times
  • Feral horses, free-roaming descendants of domesticated horses (Equus caballus). Here, "wild" means that the individuals are currently living in an untamed state, even though they belong to a species that has been domesticated. Feral horses include, but are not limited to:
    • Brumby, the feral horse of Australia
    • Camargue (horse), in marshes of the Rhone delta, southern France
    • Mustang (horse), a feral horse of the Western United States
    • Chincoteague Pony, or Assateague horse, a feral horse of Assateague Island in coastal Maryland and Virginia
  • Equus lambei, the Yukon wild horse, now extinct
