Wilton Mall at Saratoga (or simply The Wilton Mall) is a large regional shopping center, located just off Interstate 87 Exit 15, directly north of Saratoga Springs, New York. The mall has a gross leasable area of 763,270 square feet (70,910 m2).[1] The mall is anchored by Bon-Ton, Dick's Sporting Goods, JCPenney, and Sears; in addition, it features a food court and movie theater. It is currently owned by Macerich, having been purchased from Wilmorite Properties of Rochester, New York in 2004.[2]
Current anchor stores [edit]
Former anchor stores [edit]
Fifth and sixth anchors [edit]
The Wilton Mall now has its fifth anchor, JCPenney. The original fifth anchor was intended for Montgomery Ward, but it never came to The Wilton Mall due to bankruptcy in 1998. Later Boscov's was said to become Wilton Mall's fifth anchor store. However, officials in the Town of Clifton Park, New York convinced Boscov's to build a store at Clifton Park Center instead. A second 84,000-square-foot (7,800 m2) JCPenney has replaced the old one.[3] Half of the old JCPenney space was converted into a Planet Fitness, which opened in May 2012. The other half of the Old JC Penney space was converted into a branch of Burlington, Vermont's Healthy Living Market, a food store, which opened in March 2013, adding a sixth anchor.
