Wimbledon Common Preparatory School (WCPS) is a preparatory school for boys aged 5–7 in Wimbledon, London.

History[edit]

WCPS was founded in 1919 at 45 High Street to educate the sons of the local gentry living in Wimbledon Village. It was a main feeder prep school for King's College School, also located in Wimbledon. It moved to Homefield Road and then, in 1957, to a property across the street from KCS. In 2006 it was bought by KCS and became its prep department.[1] Boys transfer to the KCS Junior School after age 7 (Year 2).
