Roxio Creator is an optical disc authoring program produced by Roxio. The software, originally released as Easy Media Creator, is an updated version of the previous Easy CD Creator series.
Unlike Easy CD Creator, support for Mode 2 data recording has been dropped. Easy Media Creator will only record data CDs in Mode 1. The Orange Book (specification for multi-session CDs) intended multi-session to only be used with Mode 2 recording, but was ambiguous on the point. Consequently, there are CD-ROM drives that will not recognize anything other than the first session of a Mode 1 CD.
[edit] Supported file formats
Easy Media Creator supports a wide variety of file formats, including:
- Video: AVI, DV, HDV, DV-AVI, MPEG-1/2/4, MPEG2-HD, DVD-Video, IFO/VOB, XviD, DVR-MS, TiVo, ASF, MOV, WMV, QuickTime, 3GP, MPEG2 Transport Stream, AVC (H.264), AVCHD
