Windlass Steelcrafts

Windlass Steelcrafts is a company based in Dehra Dun, India, producing replicas of swords, sabres and other historical arms and armour. The company dates to a 1943 establishment selling Kukri knives.

Windlass Steelcrafts is a contractor for United States Marine Corps ceremonial swords and has produced cinema props for movie productions including Gladiator, 300, Lord of the Rings, Iron Man, Kingdom of Heaven and Troy. Their main reseller in the U.S. is Museum Replicas Limited, a company owned by Atlanta Cutlery Corp., a mail order catalog company for swords and knives.[1] Windlass recently launched a e-commerce site called www.collectorsheritage.com, for their Indian customers.

Windlass has produced swords based on props from fantasy role-playing games such as Warhammer Fantasy Battle.[1]
