Woodland is a small unincorporated community located in Allegany County, Maryland, U.S. about three miles outside of Frostburg. Woodland feeds directly into another community called Klondike. It started as a coal town sometime around the beginning of the 20th century. Many years ago, the town had a community church and a convenience store. Both buildings have since been converted into residences. Woodland is not incorporated as a town, legally, due to its lack of an operational post office or any sort of municipal government.
