The 1936 World Snooker Championship snooker tournament was held at the Thurston's Hall, London, England.

Joe Davis won his tenth World title, by defeating Horace Lindrum 34–27 in the final. The highest break of the tournament was 101 made by Lindrum in his semi-final match against Stanley Newman.
