Wulgurukaba (pronounced Woolgarookarbar) is an indigenous tribe in Townsville, Queensland, who were based in the area of Townsville which is now known as Wulguru, which is a suburb of Townsville that is home to the most indigenous people in the Townsville Region.[citation needed]

They were based around the base of the mountain (Mount Stuart) in the area which is now known as the Heights.[citation needed] They were left with the land that spread from the base to what is now the Townsville University Road which runs past Lavarack Barracks.[citation needed]
