Xinan Wang

The Xinan Wang (Chinese: 西南王; Pinyin: Xīnán Wáng), literally meaning King of the Southwest, is a Go competition in China sponsored by Zhongguo Qiyuan.

Outline[edit]

The Xinan Wang is a fast game tournament where players get 30 seconds for each move. The format is a single knockout, and the final is only one game. 16 players participate from 5 different Wei-qi national teams from southwestern China. The winner's purse is 30,000 ($3,600).
