YO Bykes is a market leader in the nascent Electric Scooter market in India. In a report to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Electrotherm said that it expects to double sales of YO bykes to 40,000 units in FY2010-11.[6]

Electric scooters accounted for about 1% of the Indian motorcycle and 2-wheeler market in 2009 at about 120,000 units. The market is expected to grow to about 320,000 units by 2012. YO Bykes compete with Hero Motors, TVS Motors and the recently launched offerings from BSA Motors.[7]
