Yak Shaving Day is a fictional holiday popularized in 1992 in the Ren & Stimpy cartoon program as a parody of the Santa Claus legend. Once a year, children decorate the hallways with diapers, stuff their dad's boots with coleslaw, and leave out a pot of shaving cream. While they are fast asleep, the Gilded Yak sneaks into the home to shave, and leaves scum in the sink as a gift.

The "holiday" is also the central theme of the 1993 Ren & Stimpy album, Crock O' Christmas.
