The Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Yale University School of Medicine is a training program dedicated to the development of Orthopaedic surgeons. The department's first Chairman was Wayne Southwick. Many of the current and past faculty were trainees of Dr. Southwick. The department is built around a community faculty and University faculty. Currently the chairman is Gary Friedlaender.
