Mario Mims better known by the stage name Yo Gotti, is an American rapper from the Ridgecrest Projects in Memphis, Tennessee.[1] He was formerly known as Lil Yo in the 1990s.[citation needed]
[edit] Stage name
He chose the stage name Yo Gotti by naming himself after John Gotti.[2] This is ironic as John Gotti was not very fond of African-Americans. [3]
