Zalafa, Ara Valley

Zalafa (Arabic: زلفهHebrew: זלפה‎) is an Israeli Arab village located in the north of the Wadi Ara (a.k.a. Nahal Iron) region adjacent to "the Triangle"[1]. Situated 9 kilometers (5.6 mi) southwest of Afula, the total population of the village in 1999 was 3,000 inhabitants.[1]

Zalafa is one of five Arab villages that was included in the Ma'ale Iron local council of the Haifa District by the Israeli Ministry of the Interior in 1996.[2]
