Zemra e Krishtit Catholic Church of Tirana
The Zemra e Krishtit Catholic Church of Tirana or Tirana Catholic Church of St Marie is a Roman Catholic church in Tirana, Albania. It was built in 1865 as a gift from the emperor Franz Joseph but was closed in 1967. It reopened in 1990. Lonely Planet describes the church as having "hilariously garish photo realistic images over a Communist whitewash that have to be seen to be believed".
