[edit] Major Roads

The town of Zinc has no state highways nor U.S. Federal Routes which passes through nor nearby within a few miles in all directions, however, two well known county roads do travel into and near the town. Harmon Rd. extends northward from US. Route 62/412 at the unincorperated community of Harmon west of Pyatt, AR., to the junction of Zinc Rd. which begins at the southern tip of Bergman city limits north of Harrison, AR., on State Highway 7. Both county roads do serve heavy traffic from agriculteral transportation of goods along with commercial and residential traffic. The two county roads have been discussed with terms of AHTD "Arkansas Highway Transportation Department" to be upgraded to state maintained roads, however due to insufficient funds and lack of voting for the proposal and falling short on state maintained traffic count standards no other discussions were brought to the state department as well as county and local board meetings.
