Zo'or is a character in the science fiction television series Earth: Final Conflict, played by Anita La Selva.
He was the leader of the Taelon Synod, and one of four children of Da'an, the North American Companion. Zo'or is the youngest of all Taelons, and the last to be allowed to grow. In season one, he is given the post of Companion to the United Nations, supplanting Da'an, who still retains the post of North American Companion. When the former Taelon leader Quo'on is destroyed by a Jaridian replicant, the Synod choose him as its new leader. Whereas Quo'on acted more as chairperson and arbiter, in his leadership of the Synod, Zo'or appears to often lead with minimal Synod oversight, and possibly without the Taelon Synod's knowledge.
Zo'or is noted for his calculating and ruthless nature, and, in later seasons, an inability to cope with the thought of his demise, leading to an increasingly unstable demeanor. He displays what would in a human be characterized as sociopathic tendencies. In season 2, it is said that Zo'or retains a greater degree of aggression than all the other Taelons. This aggression could have been dispersed by the Commonality, but it was decided to allow this reserve to continue, so that Zo'or could do those darker and baser, yet often necessary, things that the other Taelons could not bring themselves to consider.
Interestingly, in the first season, Zo'or had an energy form distinct from other Taelons, and was represented with a greater degree of red and gold elements in his energy anatomy than other Taelons.
In the third season episode "The Cloister", it is revealed that Zo'or is sterile.
In the eighth episode of the fifth season ("Boone's Assassin"), the androgynous Zo'or is resurrected as a female Atavus, showing actress Anita La Selva in a form much closer to her actual physical appearance.
