Ingles (NYSE: IMKTA) is a regional supermarket chain based in Asheville, North Carolina, where Robert "Bob" Ingle opened the first store in Asheville, NC in the year of 1963. His father, Elmer Ingle opened his first store in March 22,1922. Ingles has stores in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. All of Ingles stores are located within 250 miles (400 km) of its approximately 780,000-square-foot (72,000 m2) warehouse located in Black Mountain, North Carolina.
Ingles uses the Laura Lynn name for the company's store brand products. Laura Lynn is Robert Ingle's daughter.
