Kawazu (河津町 Kawazu-chō?) is a town located in Kamo District, Shizuoka, Japan.
As of 2003, the town has an estimated population of 8,465 and a density of 83.99 persons per km². The total area is 100.79 km².
Around March 31, 2010, the city of Shimoda and three municipalities in Kamo District (Kawazu, Matsuzaki, and Minamiizu) will merge.[1]
