Why is this here?[edit]

Why is this (interesting) 'Springsteen' topic inserted in the wiki page about Brendan O'Brien ? (Signed: AB, Brussels, Belgium)

Band Nicknames[edit]

So I see we moved CC down to former members and renamed him Clarence "Big Man" Clemons. Fine, fantastic. I also added "Phantom" to Dan's name. Should this be the standard for existing band members as well? Might Max? Professor? Little/Miami Steve? Sister Soozie? The Boss? Solo89 (talk) 02:22, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A few things[edit]

A few things...

Thanks for giving this template attention, Wasted Time R. --Kevin McManus

Live in New York City came out on both DVD and then CD. I tried to reflect that in a later edit.
Flo & Eddie sang backup on just one song in 1980 ("Hungry Heart") both in the studio and in a concert that year that was used on Live 75-85. That's not enough to merit inclusion here.
18 Tracks is just a cut-down version of Tracks, so they both need to go into the same category. To me, the "Studio albums" category should reflect coherent artistic efforts done at a given time, not collections of near-random outtakes that span 20 years. Therefore both Tracks and 18 Tracks belong in what I called the "Compilations, Reissues, and Unreleased material albums" category.
The template looks nice overall. Wasted Time R 00:24, 4 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Singles[edit]

The singles section on the template doesn't include every single released by Springsteen. Because of this should it be retitiled "notable singles"? Kitchen roll (talk) 20:39, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What singles doesn't it include? Meaning real releases, not promotional one-offs in a country somewhere ... Wasted Time R (talk) 21:08, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think there's three Working on a Dream singles not included that are stated to be released as singles on the album article. I thought there was more but can't find any. Kitchen roll (talk) 21:16, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As far as I know only "Working on a Dream" and "My Lucky Day" were released as singles. Is there a source for more than that? Wasted Time R (talk) 21:20, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Does this mean that the album article's wrong, because I can't find anything to reference them either? The album article does seem to be specific about their release dates though. Kitchen roll (talk) 21:36, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed them from the album article. Wasted Time R (talk) 21:46, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Just one more query: should "The Wrestler" still be included in the album article as a single, eventhough it's a bonus track, because it's included on Springsteen's discography and the template? Kitchen roll (talk) 21:59, 23 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Someone else added it back there. I don't consider "The Wrestler" to really be part of the album, since its recording history and style is completely unlike the album, but I'm likely in the minority on this. Wasted Time R (talk) 11:49, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks for clearing this up. Kitchen roll (talk) 17:03, 24 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Having had this discussion elsewhere about the equivalent template for The Gaslight Anthem, unlinked text should be avoided in navboxes. See Wikipedia:Navigation templates#Properties and Wikipedia:NAVBOX#Navigation templates. I'm removing the singles that don't have a relevant article. If you disagree, let's discuss it here. Julianhall (talk) 12:08, 19 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've just re-removed a number of singles that weren't links. This is a navbox, not a discography. Please bear this in mind. Julianhall (talk) 15:27, 27 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Link to deleted portal removed[edit]

The Bruce Springsteen portal was recently deleted. I've removed the red link from the template. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 07:57, 1 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
