Summary

Description
English: Bishop Oak This fine 18th century house (with later additions and repairs) https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1233201 stands on the road from Wolsingham up to the Tunstall Reservoir. The three storey buildiing on the right is a gazebo http://www.keystothepast.info/durhamcc/K2P.nsf/K2PDetail?readform&PRN=D2176 (didn't know that gazebos could be that big!) dating from the same period. Although I cannot find any specific reference, it seems likely that this house has some link with the Prince-Bishops of Durham who hunted on Wolsingham Park Moor just to the west.
