Summary

Description
English: V musornuyu yamu (Russian title written in Cyrillic letters: В мусорную яму)
  • English translation: "All the Past will be Put into the Garbage Dump" / "Into the trash pit"
English:
Into the garbage pit!!
Behold him - resolute, steel-like, a fighter against rotten antiquity, against the past's sluggishness and laziness! Behind the mighty proletarian back, the wavering shadow of the past looms. Let's put an end to the witchy church chatter! To the disgraceful dirty legacy of the worst years – to the icons and crosses, to all the "holy" junk, there is only one path left now: to the dump, into the garbage pit!!

  • Duke University Libraries Repository collections and archives: Russian Posters Collection, 1919-1989 (General Political Poster Series, 1919-1930 and undated): This collection of 20th-century Russian posters spans almost the entire history of the Soviet Union (1917-1991). It can be divided into three main series, each representing distinct eras in the history of Communist political advertising. The General Political Poster series features works from the earliest days of Soviet power and is especially strong for the late 1920s, a period that coincides with the "cultural revolution" of I. V. Stalin.(...)
