Le quai Notre-Dame offre une succession de maisons construites entre 1680 et 1685, lors de la rectification des quais par Louis XIV. Adoptant le style louisquartorzien, celles-ci se caractérisent par une alternance entre la pierre (au niveau des encadrements des percements et des bandeaux) et la brique (pour les allèges, trumeaux et entablements) ainsi que par leur côté très géométrique. L’horizontalité y est soulignée par des bandeaux qui courent sur toute la façade et prolongent les linteaux des baies. La verticalité est quant à elle accentuée sur toute la hauteur de la façade par les piédroits des fenêtres.

Hormis pour le rez-de-chaussée aux percements modernes, cette maison montre deux niveaux de cinq larges travées sur un soubassement appareillé. Ces niveaux sont éclairés de baies à bossages dont les montants sont, pour certaines, communs aux percements de la maison voisine. La toiture en bâtière de tuiles est ouverte de deux lucarnes en croupe à ailerons à volutes.

In de Lodewijk XIV-stijl, gekenmerkt door een afwisseling tussen steen en baksteen (voor dorpels, overmantels en entablatures) en door hun geometrische aspect. De horizontaliteit wordt onderstreept door banden die langs de hele gevel lopen en de lateien van de ramen verlengen.. Behalve de begane grond, die moderne openingen heeft, toont dit huis twee niveaus van vijf brede baaien

Quai Notre-Dame offers a succession of Louis XIV style houses built between 1680 and 1685, during the rectification of the quays. Each one is characterized by an alternation between stone (at the level of the frames of the openings and the bands) and brick (for the sills, overmantels and entablatures) as well as by a very geometric aspect. The horizontality is underlined by bands that run along the entire façade and extend the lintels of the windows. The verticality is accentuated over the entire height of the facade by the window pedestals..

Except for the ground floor, which has modern openings, this house shows two levels of five wide bays on a fitted basement. These levels are lit by bossed bays, some of which are common to the openings of the neighbouring house. The tiled roof is open with two hipped dormers with scroll wings...
