Untitled[edit]

I added a few descriptions of these theorists' contributions, and made a correction or two, but this page is in need of a serious update. I didn't remove any of the labels, but what, for example, is "Social Organization"? Admiller 07:39, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Game Theory[edit]

Game theory is a field of mathematics. Making hypothesis about mechanics/lore for video games is NOT game theory. It is like calling a wild-game hunter or an Olympic games sportsman a gamer. Putting YouTubers such as MatPat here is inappropriate. Louis (talk) 02:05, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest a list of game scientists (or whatever they're called, ludologists?) this will help keep things less confusing. I personally don't really know of any notable ones aside from the so-called "game theorists" on youtube and Goggin though. Mattwo7 (talk) 02:48, 11 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't we make a (disambiguation) page?[edit]

Game theorists can mean two things, so a disambiguation page should be made.JerrySa1 (talk) 02:09, 12 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unorganized list[edit]

This page requires some sort of standard for who can be included on the list. The page currently does not contain a single reliable source, which would mean that editors are just adding names of individuals who they think are "game theorists". Meatsgains (talk) 18:47, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The top of the page IS the standard. I even made my own list, list of ludologists to help clear up confusion. It's not anyone's fault that Matthew Patrick has such mindless fans. Also the quantum game theroy page quite clearly states that it's a branch of game theory, while dynamic games have little to do with game theroy. Mattwo7 (talk) 04:26, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
