Deepest lakes[edit]

How about some references?[edit]

There's obvious errors in this list. E.g. Lake Pukaki is much larger than Tekapo (look at them side-by-side in Google Earth!), yet this list tells me Tekapo is larger! Also, South Island lakes especially have changed over time (hydro power schemes etc). I also note that Lake Ellesmere is listed as 5th= in the table at 180sq km but the Lake Ellesmere page says 197.81sq km which puts it easily in 4th place. Some sort of published source attribution for each measure seems appropriate. Fivey (talk) 05:37, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
