Maunalua is yes, from a polynesian language, however this is specifically from the Hawaiian language. I also added the Hawaiian word for "Native Hawaiian Fishpond" which is "loko i'a," and added to the accuracy of what the mainstay of fish being raised which is 'anae. While someone had written 'ama'ama, this is only half correct, as 'ama'ama are a younger stage of 'anae, and would not be eaten until they reach the full growth stage. undo
