28°36′01″N 77°12′22″E / 28.60028°N 77.20611°E / 28.60028; 77.20611 The Indira Gandhi Memorial is a museum established to commemorate India's first and the only female Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.[1] It is housed in the building where Gandhi lived with her family during her premiership and where she was assassinated.[2] The museum contains material remains of Gandhi and her son Rajiv Gandhi.

The spot where Gandhi was shot down is marked by a glass opening in the crystal pathway at the Indira Gandhi Memorial.
