Re your message: Ah, I see. Now that I know what you are trying to create, things are making sense. There is no need for you to create a new template for ovals because there is already a template for both cricket grounds (Template:Infobox cricket ground) and rugby stadiums (Template:Infobox Stadium). I would recommend that you use one of those instead of creating a new template. I can delete the template that you started if you wish.

As for your protection request, that really isn't necessary. When you are ready to create the page, you can just recreate the page. If you need time to work on it and can't finish it all at once, I recommend that you create a temporary page on your user space such as User:De Mattia/Lapstone Oval and then move the page to mainspace once you are done. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 07:58, 7 September 2008 (UTC)
