Lucrezia Borgia (1480-1519) was the daughter of Rodrigo Borgia the powerful Renaissance Spaniard who would later become Pope Alexander VI. Her father arranged several marriages for her to important and/or powerful men (in order to advance his own political career). Lucrezia was married to: Giovanni Sforza (Count of Pesaro(sp?)), Alfonso V of Aragon (Duke of Bisceglie), and Alfonso d'Este (Prince of Ferrara). After her marriage with Giovanni Sforza was no longer politically advantageous to her father, he arranged to have it annulled.
