Jesús Huerta de Soto Ballester (born December 23, 1956, in Madrid) is an Austrian School economist and Professor of Political Economy at Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid, Spain. In 2005 Huerta de Soto received the CNE's Adam Smith Award for lifetime achievement.[1]; and in 2009 he was awarded a honorary degree from Universidad Francisco Marroquin.
