North Main Music is a music school for all ages and skill levels, with locations in Nashua and Bedford, New Hampshire. [1][2]

History

Established in Nashua, NH in 2003, North Main Music offers high quality private music lessons for kids and adults. When first opened by owner and director Mike McAdam, the school provided electric guitar, acoustic guitar and bass lessons. In 2007, the school expanded to add voice, piano and drum programs. In 2010, second school opened in Bedford, NH. In 2013 Jeff Moore joined the school as teacher and co-director.[3][4]

Director Biographies

Mike McAdam

Mike McAdam is the school director of North Main Music. He directs the guitar department at Rivier University and has written two music instruction books titled "Absolute Beginner Guitar" and "The Private Guitar Studio Handbook". In addition to teaching, Mike currently works with aspiring professional musicians at Colleges and Universities across the United States.

As a guitarist, Mike has released three solo CD’s as well as having played on dozens of releases. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has an MBA from Rivier University. [5][6] [7] [8]

Jeff Moore

Jeff Moore is a graduate of Boston University and has also studied under Gary Burton at the Berklee College of Music. He is an internationally recognized championship musician and performer, and has been honored with numerous awards for his work. He has traveled the world as a performing musician, taking center stage at such legendary venues as the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., and the historic Paradise Rock Club in Boston, Massachusetts.

As a group-member and session musician, Jeff has released several albums working with Grammy Award-winning producers, and also sits on the board of directors of the Music Movement Association, a nonprofit group dedicated to support of youth music programs in New England. He is also a proud member of the Accordion Teacher's Association of Massachusetts, which sponsors the annual New England Music Competition and Festival - one of the premier youth music festivals in the United States.

His students have appeared in countless national and international magazines, newspapers, television and radio programs, including America’s Got Talent, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, MTV, and CBS.[9][10][11] [12]

Faculty

North Main Music faculty are graduates from renowned music programs such as Berklee College of Music, the New England Conservatory, Boston University, and Southern New Hampshire University. [13][14]

Community Involvement

North Main Music teachers and students donate thousands of hours each year to New Hampshire community organizations, like the Nashua Telegraph Santa Fund, Rock on for the Cure, Salvation Army to Earthquake, Humane Society, Rutenga School in Africa, American Cancer Society, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Great American Downtown, Nashua Senior Center, Cure with Hope, Nancy O Fund, Family Promise of New Hampshire, Rotary Clubs of New Hampshire, New Hampshire Make-A-Wish Foundation, Children's Hospital at Dartmouth, Officer Daniey Doherty Benefit Fund, New Horizons Shelter, Alvirne High School, and the Nashua Public Library.
