Hi,

I'm Elnencatala (meaning Catalan Boy in, well, Catalan!)

I was born in the UK to Catalan immigrant parents in 1981, who fled Spain in 1976, after the rule of Francisco Franco ended (yes, I know that he died in 1975 by the way).

My father was a 747 pilot when I was growing up, so I love planes! My mother was a bank clerk, which got me interested in finance, money and banking from a young age! (One day, I hope to open my own bank!- Yes, I know that people don't like bankers!)

I began my work as a financial analyst and blogger at Finance Friday. After that, I decided I would go into politics, but 'fell to the dark side' and became a lobbyist (but then I 'redeemed myself' by becoming a political blogger for Politic-Ed too!)

I then decided to stay in lobbying, but changed from being a financial industries lobbyist to being an aviation industry lobbyist, and that's where I am today!
