*Ato - a Beagle in a can. The happy dogsbody. Ato’s gentle nature and simple outlook means that he is the number one candidate for menial tasks, and it’s a role he relishes. All Ato wants is for every can to be happy and all his efforts go into making sure they are, even if it means being Mimi’s minion every now and then.

*Oz - a cat in a can. There's always one and it's always Oz. Oz wants what she can’t have - and it usually belongs to others. Her tomboy attitude and boisterous nature means that if she can’t have fun, she’ll make certain that no one else can, which often means she’s left on the side lines.
*Mimi - a Poodle in a can, she often uses her ears to attack the others.
*Uly - a Bulldog in a can. 99% hunger 1% brain. Uly’s a little bit simple and a big bit slobbery. Somehow he always manages to get into trouble. The other Canimals take advantage of him, but he doesn’t really mind, just as long as he gets to eat! When it comes to food Uly becomes very focused and won’t stop until the last bite!
*Uly - a Bulldog in a can, he happily eats anything he comes across.
*Mimi - a Poodle in a can. A pink loving dog with a princess complex. Mimi is fashionable and beautifully bossy. She’ll take control of every situation - whether she’s asked to or not! The other Canimals listen to whatever Mimi says, and end up doing whatever she demands! Not out of respect though, but for fear of her Mula Mula ear slap attack!
*Fizzy - a Siamese in a can with a scarf, he acts rather clumsy at times.
*Pow - an owl in a can. The wise observer "who who" watches from up on high. Pow always looks down upon other Canimals, mostly due to that fact that he likes high places and can fly! In Pow's mind he’s always right and will always win an argument. If he doesn't he’ll just knock out the other Canimals with his patented & powerful K.O. laser eye beams.
*Nia - a kitten in a can, she sometimes is seen with her favorite lollipop.
*Fizzy - a Siamese in a can with a scarf. Solitary, stealthy and sneaky. Prone to dreams of ninja grandeur, Fizzy frequently attempts to make them come true. There is a fine line between awesome and accident prone (And Fizzy’s ability to balance on that line, means he usually falls on the last words of that sentence!).
*Oz - a cat in a can, Oz is playful and mischievous. Also has a yellow right eye and a blue left eye.
*Toki - a rabbit in a can. A hyperactive bundle of bouncing energy. Toki is extremely athletic. He jumps the highest and moves the fastest of all the Canimals and can’t help but shake his can whenever he hears music. He’ll happily follow whoever’s having the most fun, whatever the consequences, as Toki can bounce back from anything.
*Pow - an owl in a can, he will not hesitate to use his hypnosis on anyone who angers him.
*Nia - a kitten in a can. A cute scaredy cat. The other Canimals protect Nia as much as they can, unless of course they're teasing her themselves! Nia may seem weak, but she does have a secret weapon that will get her out of any tight spot -a supersonic scream that will literally blow you away. (Unfortunately it also can be triggered by unexpected noises, sudden movements and giant squirrels.)
*Toki - a rabbit in a can, he is carrot crazy.
*Leon - a chameleon in a can. Slow to move, but quick on the uptake. Leon likes to win and he’ll use all the talents in his can, this includes his 360 vision, his super agile tongue and his ability to change colour. He can even become transparent, although the other Canimals can often see through his tricks.
*Leon - a chameleon in a can, he easily blends in with his surroundings.

Canimals (lit. Can, Animals) is a South Korean computer-animated television series by Voozclub Co., Ltd. The main characters are Ato, Mimi, Uly, Fizzy, Nia, Oz, Pow, Toki, and Leon. Internationally, the series has aired on UK[1][2] through Aardman and worldwide[1] through BRB Internacional.

Plot

Canimals follows a group of little tin can-like elflike animals that go around rediscovering the world from a different point of view. The Canimals find something new and worthy of attention in the most mundane of things.[3]

Licensing

Canimals was licensed based on a long-run cartoon series and supported by the creators of Pucca (Voozclub), Wallace & Gromit (Aardman) and Suckers (BRB International). With a spectacular style guide, Canimals has prepared a wide-ranging licensing and merchandising plan set to be launched in conjunction with the series’ TV premiere in 2011.

BRB International manages all the series’ rights on the Iberian Peninsula.[4]

Canimals won as the best for kids 7-10 at the 2010 Kids' Jury and nominated for the Licensing Challenge in MIPJR 2010.[5][6]
