Citadel is a forthcoming American television drama series created by Patrick Moran and the Russo brothers for Amazon Prime Video.[2] The show is described as an "action-packed spy series with a compelling emotional center"[3] and "an expansive and groundbreaking global event comprising a mothership series and several local language satellite series"[4] which include spinoffs set in in Italy, India and Mexico.[5][3] Amazon explained: “All of the local series are meant to enhance the entire entertainment experience and will be available for the viewer to deep dive into an imagined layered world.”[6]
Starring Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra[5] alongside Roland Møller, who will play Laszlo Milla a lead operative of Citadel’s rival intelligence agency, Manticore.[7]
Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. will be developing the Indian series, produced by Amazon Studios. The Italian series will be co-produced by Amazon Studios and Cattleya (Gomorrah), part of ITV Studios.[8]
The main series is currently in production in the United Kingdom and does not yet have an air date.
