Do Revenge is an upcoming American black comedy film directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who co-wrote the film alongside Celeste Ballard. It stars Camila Mendes, Maya Hawke, Rish Shah, Sophie Turner, and Austin Abrams. The plot was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train. It is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on September 16, 2022.
Plot
Two high school student cohorts, Drea and Eleanor, have their lives upended and become rejected by their high school. After a topless video of herself originally intended for only her boyfriend Max is leaked, Drea feels shame. Eleanor becomes an outcast when a rumor about her holding Carrissa down and attempting to kiss her begins to spread. Drea and Eleanor form a friendship and agree to go after one another's bullies.[2][3]

Production
Casting
On October 14, 2020, it was reported that Netflix was developing the film, then titled Strangers. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson co-wrote and directed the film, and was inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train (1951).[6] In November 2020, Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke were reported to star.[7] Additional cast members were announced in early 2021.[8][9][10]
Filming
Principal photography was scheduled to take place in Los Angeles in early 2021.[2][11] Filming wrapped in August 2021.[12]
Release
The film is scheduled to be released on Netflix on September 16, 2022.[13]
