Revision as of 23:35, 14 March 2007

Please read!
  • I reply to your message here, for the sake of keeping discussions un-fragmented — I suggest temporarily watching this page.

So if I accidentally archive a request that I didn't perform, please just keep bugging me about it — I don't mind. Also worth noting, I am a busy college student meaning that sometimes it might take me a while to reply to your post.

AfD nomination of Gomes Elementary School

An editor has nominated Gomes Elementary School, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Gomes Elementary School and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. AFD discussions FCPS

Hey its good that more people are joing in the discussion. Remember that ther can be as many delete votes as they want, but it's who makes the better argument (although 200 to 1 odds wouldn't be good). Be careful not to make personal attacks, instead, look at their user page and contribs. If you have AIM, feel free to IM me at KeepOnTruck1n to further discuss this, otherwise, use my talk page. Commons Picture of the Year 2006

American High

Sure, go ahead. Just tag the top of the american high school fremont page correctly. Nardman1 01:42, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You copied a little too much from User_talk:Arjun01

The link that is intended to add your talk page to a visitor's watchlist, instead adds Arjune01's. Of course, nothing ventured... --Hjal 05:42, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Images

I'd like you not to undo my changes until I have a proper discussion with PartDeux. Thanks.Max Thayer 07:28, 5 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I am sorry if you felt offended by my reverting of your deletion of your images from the deletion log. However, as Part Deux has stated, these images are copyrighted, and the policy for their deletion is to place them on the lag, and then for the wikipedia community to deal with them there. This is in the community forum, and you need to release the policy for Fair Use. Please try to follow the wikipedia policies as it will maintain the harmony of wikipedia. Have a personally directed conflict with the User who is identifying intended or unintended violations of wikipedia policy by you is not a constructive solution. You may read over the wikipedia policies available to you, and if you have any questions feel free to ask. I look forward to your useful contributions. --Thank You. --Sukh17

Hello

I did leave a message--The preceding unsigned comment was left by Sampson2k7 05:51 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Creation of AJMS redirect

I apologize, how shortsighted of me, would AJM be an okay redirect?  Cheers and good day,  ~Steptrip 02:14, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm fine with your edit. It was mainly the list of hotels that I was concerned about. Graham87 09:06, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

David Berlinski

Why did you RV David Berlinski and call it vandalism after I've talked about why I deleted the text? I think it's a legitimate complaint because that would never fly in a high school English paper. It just doesn't fit into the context of the subject matter. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.137.175.59 (talk) 03:34, 14 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

  • The edit is most definitely not legitimate. You removed perfectly written and sourced material without a legitimate reason. Additionally, I cannot agree with your reasoning, the section most definitely belongs in the article, as it is relevant to the given individual's views. --Sukh17 TCE 03:41, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
    • I don't post vandalism accusations all over your user page when I disagree with your edits WTF?—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 209.137.175.59 (talk) 03:43, 14 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]
      • If you pay attention, another user identified your edit as vandalism again, and I was simply adding a notice to your talk page to notify you of this action. Also, please sign your posts in the future. Thank You. --Sukh17 TCE 03:46, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
        • You can't formally warn me for something that was deemed vandalism by you. It doesn't qualify as vandalism, it was meant to be a legitimate edit. It has nothing to do with David Berlinski it is a tangent about Dover school. It is roaming and has no business being written in the article. If you're an evolutionist thats great, so am I, please put off your preconceptions and try to read this from the point of view of someone trying to make Wikipedia better. --209.137.175.59 03:51, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
          • Would you mind removing the vandalism comments on my page? --209.137.175.59 04:13, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
            • The edits you have made are now in the discussion phase. If the consensus from that discussion agrees with your edits, then I will be happy to remove the warnings left on your talk page. Please be careful in your future edits and do not create an edit war. I look forward to your constructive edits. Thank You. --Sukh17 TCE 04:18, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Disagree with this anon IP's rational. If anything, from the IP's header, it is probably the one that wants to disagree with the facts cited about this author's viewpoint as cited properly. Vandalism warnings appropriate. 3RR exceeded. Ronbo76 04:21, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thanks for you support Ronbo76. I realized that the user also exceeded the limit, but hopefully the user is understanding policies and will refrain from doing this in the future. --Sukh17 TCE 04:25, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. I believe the anon IP's banner attached to a Christian college is its reason for deleting what it calls pseudoscience. Ronbo76 04:29, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't call what I deleted "pseudoscience" I called ID "pseudoscience" Intelligent Design is philosophy and can never be called science. --209.137.175.59 04:40, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
BTW once again will you remove my vandal warnings? --209.137.175.59 04:56, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • As you have only proven your intentions through your continuous disregard for wikipedia policies, I feel that I have no choice but to adhere to the warnings that I gave you. I regret that you were not up to changing your ways. --Sukh17 TCE 05:48, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

UCSD colors

Comparison of ucsd template colors
While the colors may technically match up with UCSD's original intent, they do not look like the colors alums are familiar with. Never once have I seen any UCSD apparel in those colors. Everyone seemed fine with the previous colors, and my philosophy is, if it ain't broke don't fix it. The new colors do not look like UCSD's. Please change it back. Ocatecir Talk 06:34, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Again, please look at the color scheme of Tritonlink Ocatecir Talk 06:36, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • I currently attend UCSD, and I know that the use of these colors is a fact. In fact, if you read through the Graphic Identity Guidelines and Policies, which outlines the use of the UCSD logo and the colors that should be associated with the University, it is official policy to use the colors that are designated by the Guidelines. Additionally, these are not especially new guidelines, as they have been in place since at least 2001 according the revision of the Guidelines. It is likely that they have been in place before that time too. I hope we can resolve this issue without one of us having to feel completely unsatisfied. Thank You! --Sukh17 TCE 06:44, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
TritonLink is in fact undergoing a revision. I believe that its color scheme will possibly be changing. --Sukh17 TCE 06:45, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've done a comparison for you and I think the colors you've chosen do not quite match either. The Blue needs to be brought down a few shades.(See image) Ocatecir Talk 07:08, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • Please observe the note at the bottom of page 5. The colors are not exact representations of what is shown. I have done my best in researching and using a conversion chart to get the Hex codes for the Pantone colors. --Sukh17 TCE 07:12, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have created the following different versions which also are supposed to mimic the color usage denoted by the University. If you can find me a more accurate conversion chart than the one that I am using, I would appreciate it. I hope you find one of these appealing.

I just noticed that you were comparing to the wrong template. The Pantone Blue 287 is part of the University of California scheme, as you can see denoted by the lettering UC. The appropriate UCSD scheme, denoted by the UCSD lettering, is with Pantone Blue 285, which I have chosen correctly. Thanks! --Sukh17 TCE 07:26, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just wanted to let you know that I have completely changed the Template and the Category so that a user may choose whatever color combination that he desires. Hope you like how it looks! Thanks! --Sukh17 TCE 08:36, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
