On January 14, 2024, Yehezkel scored a goal and celebrated by showing the writing on his wrist “100 days, 7-10” referring to the Israeli hostages being held by Hamas terrorists for 100 days. He was booed by the fans and later condemned by the National Football Association of Turkey. His team first said he would be suspended then said his contract would be terminated. He was taken into questioning by Turkish police and interrogated for “supporting the Israeli massacres in Gaza and inciting the public”.<ref>https://www.sportbible.com/football/football-news/sagiv-yehezkal-antalyaspor-trabzonspor-turkish-super-lig-511708-20240114</ref> |

Sagiv Shalom Yehezkel[1] (or Jehezkel,[5] Hebrew: שגיב שלום יחזקאל; born 21 March 1995) is an Israeli professional footballer who plays as a right-back and winger for Turkish Süper Lig club Antalyaspor and the Israel national team.
Early and personal life
Yehezkel was born and raised in Rishon LeZion, Israel, to a family of Israeli-Jewish descent.[6][7][8][9][10]
He married his Israeli fiancée Elian (née Yosef) on 23 June 2022, in moshav Shoresh, Israel.[11][12] Their firstborn son was born in June 2023.[13]
Club career
On February 11, 2021, Yehezkel transferred to Israeli Premier League club Hapoel Be'er Sheva on a three-and-a-half-year contract.[14] He made his debut with this Israeli side on 13 February 2021, where Yehezkel also opened with the starting squad for Hapoel Be'er Sheva in an away league draw with 2–2 against Hapoel Haifa.[15]
Yehezkel signed with Turkish Süper Lig club Antalyaspor, on 15 September 2023, on a three-season long contract running until 30 June 2026.[3] Yehezkel made his debut with Antalyaspor just two days later, in an away league match against Fenerbahçe, coming on as a 54th minute substitute, quickly managing to assist his brand new club's second equaliser.[16]
He was taken into questioning by Turkish police and interrogated for “supporting the Israeli massacres in Gaza and inciting the public”.[17]
