Encyclopaedic?

I think I'm out of touch with the rules on what content is allowed on Wikipedia...

This is an article about a mobile game released last year. Being a copy of the Tamagotchi mechanics with some add-on minigames, it's not exactly revolutionary, and it's not made by a well-known studio. The article is not well-written, with sentences like "It can be also interact with other Pous by visiting them when the game is connected in the internet" and "Such is the success of the game, which was performed a copy of it with another name for Windows Phone smartphones called Mou, changing the P to M". It reads suspiciously like marketing material, and over half the references are links to the respective mobile app stores.

I'd clean up the wording, but I'm just not convinced that the article should even exist. And I know any attempts to cull the junk from this page will be seen as vandalism by the bots, and reverted.

Is this article really suitable for inclusion in this encyclopaedia?

It's been fairly popular so I think it's notable (and I deprodded). I agree that the article isn't well written. What often happen with pop culture subjects is that there is "drive-by" editing by people unfamiliar with Wikipedia standards. Candleabracadabra (talk) 19:48, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is pronounced "Poo" or "Poe"?

The creator never explicitly stated on how to pronounce the game. The "Poo" pronunciation is more common in North America, while the "Poe" one is prevalent in Latin America and Southeast Asia. SquidwardTentacools (talk) 03:23, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
