Kate McKinnon is an actress and comedian. She has appeared in the 1986 film, Wisdom (film), playing Nancy Allenford.
She graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in theater. She writes and performs stand-up comedy and solo shows around New York City. As an out lesbian, she is currently a cast member of The Big Gay Sketch Show on the Logo Network. Her favorite character to play on TBGSS is Fitzwilliam, the transgendered boy from Switchinghamshire. She also plays Rachael Ray, Heidi Klum, and the cello-playing half of the folk duo "Sappho's Lips" on the show.
As a musician, she plays the piano, guitar, and cello.
