"Hot Knives" is the second song to be released by the indie/folk-rock band Bright Eyes, from their album Cassadaga. [1]
The song was released on July 9, 2007, on a strictly-limited 7" double A-Side record. The other song featured on the record was "If the Brakeman Turns My Way".

The Video for "Hot Knives" was directed by Patrick Daughters, who also directed "Title and Registration" (Death Cab For Cutie), "Stockholm Syndrome" (Muse), and the previous Bright Eyes' single, Four Winds. [2]
