Carapelle Calvisio is a comune and town in the Province of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo region of Italy. It is located in the natural park known as the "Gran Sasso e Monti della Laga National Park" at 900 a.s.l.. It's mostly known as being one the smallest non-alpine comune in Italy, with (approx.) only 90 inhabitants. It is located in front of the historical castle Rocca Calascio, location for the notorious movie Ladyhawke.
