Imran Khan

Imran Deen Khan (Urdu عمران الدين خان ,b. 28 June 1984), popularly known simply as Imran Khan is a Dutch- born Punjabi singer from, The Hague in Holland. Currently signed with Prestige Records in the UK, Khan rose to popularity with his debut single, Ni Nachleh. In 2009, he launched his latest album in the UK entitled, Unforgettable.

History

Imran was born to Pakistani parents who hailed from the city of Gujranwala, Punjab in Pakistan. In 1991 they migrated to The Hague Holland. Khan started his career in his early twenties, where he signed a deal with a record label however due to managerial and monetary issues decided to withdraw from the company. Khan returned to the Netherlands and signed with several producers and record labels however again due to conflicts of interest, Khan chose to not continue working with them.[1]

In 2004, Khan was introduced to a Pakistani producer, who produced several albums for Lollywood and the Pakistani music market. Khan produced his unofficial debut Pakistani album in Pakistan which generated a limited response due to its traditional nature. The lack of popularity in the market lead Khan to redevelop the album in the UK. However, due to managerial issues the album was never reproduced. Khan returned to the Netherlands, where he met Eren E, a Turkish music producer, who managed Khan's portfolio. In 2007, Khan launched his debut single, Ni Nachleh, which became an instant hit reaching number 1 on various UK Asian radio and television channels. [2]

In February 2008 he performed in Zee Carnival UK.

In July 2009, Khan released a new album with his fellow producers Eren E and Hakan Ozan entitled Unforgettable. The album featured many tracks that proved successful on many radio stations. Khan released another single called Chak Glassy in end of 2007. Khan performed at various shows within the UK throughout the last few years with lately appearing on the 9th August 2009 at the well renowned Edinburgh Mela. This included his successful 2009 summer release of the single, Amplifier and Aaja Ve Mahiya, which are again proving as successful as his debut single. Prestige Records is done working on Khan's next single, Bewafa. The music video was shot around the month of October and is now finished.
