Death penalty in UK

Hi,

I guess you're english so I rather prefer explain my point in your language than french. I've deleted the page on the french WP, since honestly, and without been rude or mean, the translation was very very poor and hard to correct on its actual basis. If you want you could ask for a translation here on the devoted project. I have no idea how long it could take since I'm not involved in this field. By the by, considering your account name, in french île is of female gender so flottant must be flottante, but perhaps you prefer like this ;-) .

I'm sorry, to be honest, I regret having done it. I've done a few French to English translations before, but never an English to French. Don't worry no harm. A user on the french WP will take care of the article and try to reformulate some ideas which are not yet crystal clear in the present version. Perhaps considering the difficulty for you on the english into french translation it might be better to act on a smaller scale than a full article on death penalty, which is everything but an easy-going article as you can imagine. I don't entirely understand your language edit. What is a pro-DP and how is it related to that sentence? Simple present

I do not know why you try to correct my mistakes that are not mistakes. You should correct your grammatical errors in the simple present article first - for example: conspiration, on the headlines, auxiliare etc. You could possibly ask a native speaker first to review your articles before you post them to Wikipedia. --Petr Kulaty 09:21, 15 September 2009 (UTC)

Not at all, although I did learn that some refer to the 'future progressive' as 'future imperfect'. In honesty, however, the reasoning was simply due to my categorisation-mania. (I almost changed 'simple past' to 'past simple' so that all pasts begin with 'past'. --I hope that you understand ;-) By the way, I am a huge fan of your American English box... and shall be obtaining a copy for my page in due course. Canadian Passport (and other passports) - Place of birth does vary

Further to your note regarding the note regarding "place of birth" for a Canadaian passport, you will note that this varies widely among countries - and can be a significant issue. Consequently, this piece of information is quite important for those interested in konwing how, specifically, one's place of birth is listed.

As a human rights attorney, I have represented many clients from places whose country of birth is noted on their passports; but this is not standard among countries. Some countries, for example, only list one's city of birth (e.g., Australia). Others list only one's state (if it is a federal jurisdiction) and one's country (e.g., the United States).

Fortunately, Canadian citizens can petition to get one's place of birth (which includes one's country) removed from the passport; I have represented one client for whom this carried great import when his country of birth subjected him to humiliating treatment as a Canadian upon trying to go back to visit his family.

After viewing Coggno and reading about their services on Wiki, my thoughts were to create a section about Opusworks and provide information about the similarities and differences between Coggno and Opuswors. Afghan Right to Resist

Hey. Thanks for making an Afghanistan version of my 'This user recognizes the right of Iraqis to resist occupation' userbox. I don't know why I hadn't already made it myself. I do see one problem with it, though: it uses the Afghan flag adopted by the US-installed government.

With my Iraqi userbox, I use the last flag used by a sovereign Iraqi government, which is unfortunately the one with what is supposedly Saddam Husein's handwriting on it. I use it as a reflection of my belief that I, an American, have no right to impose my own beliefs on Iraq, and thus no right to choose which flag I like best.

However, the pre-US Afghan flag rather more explicitly endorses the particular (Taliban) regime that preceded it. Thus to use it would possibly appear to be an endorsement of that regime. Perhaps a black/red/green flag without any emblem would be a good compromise? Or maybe some other image altogether? Just my personal thoughts... --MQDuck (talk) 01:21, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Well, I've been putting a lot of thought into it... First, there's no historic flag that could be used without appearing to endorse that regime. It doesn't look like Afghanistan has ever really had a stable flag design, leaving us with nothing generic to use. I'd say that leave us with three options:

• 1) Use a tricolor flag without any emblem. This is problematic first of all because there has been a long period, just before the US-installed government, where that scheme wasn't used. Further, the emblem a) is the most consistent element in their flags, and b) supposedly has strong religious meaning; it would be quite imperialist of us to remove it. So I think this is out of the question.
• 2) Use one of the 1929-'74 flags, which are almost identical to the current one. This has the advantage that they were flags of a sovereign government, but the disadvantage that the style was replaced when the monarchy was overthrown and wasn't used again until the current regime. Using it would at best send mixed messages.
• 3) Keep the flag as-is. If no other option is acceptable, then this is the best "default", not-statement-making one we have. Unfortunately, I think this is the least objectionable option. All thinking for nothing... --MQDuck (talk)

Actually it is a spread in the whole entertainement section. approved by the paper and with filters, your analogy about writing a book and calling yourself "The king of england" is purely opinion in which i agree. The paper covering the band on the entertainment section done by their own journalist which i would be glad to give you contact for verification is a totally different matter, a major newspaper covering a certain artist full spread article isnt valid to you? you may check the newspaper background here as they also work with cnn and bbc. im a bit confused on your last message. and weary that i present you written and verified proofs from credible sources for you to say it is an "opinion".

now you also asked "who" considers the band an important factor for the country's goth scene, i have posted another major rock magazine called pulp in response to this (4 pages of a major glossy rock magazine dedicated to them) and i would be glad to present you direct testimonials of fans.

like i mentioned , im not a wikipedia expert, but have references and valid links. we would have no trouble submitting reliable sources for your review.
