Gloomy Salad Days [1] (死神少女; pinyin: Si Shen Shao Nu) is a Taiwanese idol drama starring Aaron Yan from Taiwanese boyband Fahrenheit and Serena Fang. It has already started airing and its first episode was shown on Saturday, 9 October 2010 at 9 pm on PTS Channel. Two episodes will be broadcasted back-to-back every week.

Synopsis
This drama involves 12 different stories which happened to teenagers, taken from real life social cases.
Storyline
- Episode 1: Huang He 黃禾
- Episode 2: Xiao Qing 筱青
Huang He is every teacher's favourite student because he is a top scorer in the school. He is from a wealthy family, but the truth is, he is the head of all gangsters and bullies in his school. Having two identities, he is highly respected and feared by all the other students in the school. Huang He had a student-teacher love relationship with Jiang Ping, his Science teacher. When Jiang Ping accidentally got pregnant to Huang He's child, she divorced with her husband. To protect his bright future, he called for the help of Death Girl to take the child away from his life. When a pretty and intelligent girl, Xiao Qing defeated him in a debate competition, she caught his attention. To get closer to Xiao Qing, Huang He set a trap on Sha Dong, Xiao Qing's brother. When Xiao Qing's secret crush, A Pang get to know about Huang He's evil plan, he calls for the help of Death Girl to get rid of Huang He as he thought Huang He had violated Xiao Qing. Only after Huang He's death did A Pang realised that he has to pay the price which is to leave his beloved grandmother. However, Death Girl did not change him into a rock in the end and he leaves the black rock on the seat of Huang He.

It's the beginning of the second semester. Xiao Lin is a new student who transferred to Shen Qi's class. She is very quiet as her parents are undergoing divorce and she hates the idea of thinking that her parents do not want her. According to the arrangement of the seating position, Xiao Lin took the place that previously belonged to Huang He and noticed a beautiful black rock on her seat. She took the stone and kept it. It is New Year. Xiao Lin went back to her uncle and aunt's home. Both of them are really busy with the grocery store so they didn't have time to take good care of Xiao Lin. One night, they forgot all about Xiao Lin's dinner. Xiao Lin was alone in her room trying to bare with the hunger. At midnight, she quietly went downstairs to the grocery store. Xiao Lin took a can of beer and a total amount of TWD1000 from the cashier counter and ran away. She went to a river nearby and met A Jie graffiting. Xiao Lin told A Jie that she had seen the Death Girl. The next day, Xiao Lin went back to the grocery store. Xiao Lin's actions yesterday were recorded by the CCTV. Xiao Lin's uncle was really mad and told her that nobody wants her anymore. Xiao Lin couldn't believe the truth because she really loves her parents. She didn't eat or drink, thinking that this would force her parents to pick her home from the dormitory. Xiao Lin subsequently called upon Death Girl to bring her parents to accompany her when she turns into a rock of Nai He Bridge. That night, Xiao Lin passed away due to starvation. Also, in this story, Death Girl realised Shen Qi is the only one that can see her with or without the black rock.

After Xiao Lin gave all her belongings (notebook and black stone) to Ni Ke just like what she have promised, Ni Ke continued to post articles in their blog about death. After Ni Ke broke up with A Cai, she goes to the hotel everyday to get more business. She hope that one day she can earn enough money to bring her mother to Taipei. She doesn't want to live with her dad who loves gambling and gets himself drunk everyday when he come home. Xiao Tang is one of the best student in Ni Ke's class. He wants to help Ni Ke but he always gets rejected by her. Xiao Tang was curious and decided to secretly follow Ni Ke but was shocked to find out that Ni Ke works as a prostitute. Ni Ke calls for Death Girl's help for her dad to disappear from the family's life and he soon passed away. Ni Ke slowly develop feelings for Xiao Tang and promised to let Xiao Tang give her tuition and give up being a prostitute after she and her mom move to Taipei while Xiao Tang goes to university at Taipei. Ni Ke threw the black rock out of the window in the end and left for Taipei for a better life.

A black limousine drove into the school compound. Li You got down from the limousine. Li You is a transfer student. When he walked pass a tree, he saw a beautiful black rock on the ground which is thrown out of the window by Ni Ke. He picked it up and kept it. When Li You was transferred to this school, he became very popular. He is every single female students' prince charming. After a basketball match, he became really good friends with A Guo, the captain of the school's basketball team. Mei Li, a girl from A Guo and Li You's class, likes Li You very much. When Li You and A Guo were hanging out at the basketball court after they won a match, Li You told A Guo about his secret. Li You warned A Guo to not tell anyone about it. But, unfortunately, Mei Li was listening to their conversation at a corner. Li You became couples with Xiao Ju, without A Guo knowing it. Mei Li set a trap on Li You to ruin their relationship. No matter what Mei Li did to threaten Li You to be her boyfriend, Li You still doesn't agree. One day, Li You's secret of being a girl was known by all the students in the school. A Guo was very angry, because he thought that Li You was cheating on Xiao Ju. He told Li You to meet him at the sports center after school for a fight. Li You called for the help of Death Girl to take himself away. Xiao Ju was really scared so she asked Shen Qi about their conversation when Li You came to meet him that day. Shen Qi knew that something bad is going to happen so he followed Xiao Ju to the sports center. He saw Du and told her to not do anything. Finally, after the battle, Li You and A Guo managed to get through the hardest part of their life. Du did not change anyone to a rock this time. Shen Qi told the Du that she has a good side too. Du told him that he can see her without the help of the rock because he has something in his brain. Then, she went off. Li You was transferred to another school for her last semester. Before she left the school, A Guo told him that they will meet in the university and always keep in touch.

Not long after Li You left the school, the school holidays ended. Its a new semester now. A Guo is now in university with Li You where else Xiao Ju is still in high school. To be prepared for the Chemistry Olympiad, Xiao Ju spends most of her time with Qiao Qiao. Her love towards Li You gets lesser as they are in different schools. After spending most of the time together, Qiao Qiao fell in love with Xiao Ju. Xiao Ju also started to develop feelings towards Qiao Qiao. But, Xiao Ju feels bad for Li You as they are still in a relationship. Until one day, when Li You came all the way from Taipei with A Guo. Li You wants to tell Xiao Ju about her decision. Xiao Ju doesn't like Li You anymore but loves Qiao Qiao. At the same time, Shen Qi is going around looking for more information about the Death Girl. He wants to find the rock so that Du can't take anyone away anymore. When Shen Qi went to look for Xiao Ju, he got hit by Xiao Dao while he was crossing the road and was sent to the hospital. When Xiao Ju and Qiao Qiao's family knew that they were lesbians, both of them ran away. Actually, Xiao Ju was having the rock all the time. She lied to Shen Qi that the rock wasn't with her. After the both of them ran away to the south part of Taiwan, the news of them missing were reported everywhere. Shen Qi intends to find Xiao Ju to get back the rock so he went to south part of Taiwan with the help of Xiao Dao. Their lesbian relationship were known by everyone right after a blog where all their pictures were posted there by Qiao Qiao. Xiao Ju didn't know anything about the blog and at the same time she got to know that Li You committed suicide. She ran to the beach with Qiao Qiao and called the Death Girl to come out. She wants the Death Girl to take herself away. At the end, Xiao Ju and Qiao Qiao both committed suicide.

This drama is filmed at Taichung (國立東勢高工; pinyin: guó lì dōng shì gāo gōng). For the filming of this drama, the school's name was changed to 石雨高校 (pinyin: shí yǔ gāo xiào).
