: You will have a hard time convincing people that Ancient Macedonians are ancestors of modern-day Republic of Macedonia / FYROM. Ancient ethnic macedonians as self-described by modern-day slavic macedonians , are descended from Bulgarians. RoM/FYROM is no more arguably no more then 100 years old, and by most standards less then 20 years old. |

I came to this page because I thought these people were Ancient Macedonians from the modern-day Republic of Macedonia (RoM). I was confused to find that all of these people are considered Greeks.
I realize not that this is because nobody has bothered to disambiguate between 'Ancient Macedonians (RoM)' and 'Ancient Macedonians (Greeks)' ... Since this page does not clearly state which of these two ethnic groups these people are ancestors of, I have clicked through most of their pages, (including Alexander the Great), and found that they are all described as greek.
