Charles Elliott Perkins DYK

I fixed the article, and left an explanation on the DYK Talk page. (Thanks for doing the scut-work of reviewing DYK noms!) - Tim1965 (talk) 00:50, 20 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

use of your photo

Dear Mr. Wade,

I left a message yesterday on your WikiCommons page, but I wanted to make sure that I got in touch with you. As per your request on WikiCommons, we are contacting you because we are using one of your photos of Times Square at night in the PlaNYC update. PlaNYC is New York City's 20 year strategic sustainability plan. We have included your name and your url link with the image.

Please contact me if you have any questions.

Best, Kirsten

Message at top of my article

Hi,

The message that reads "This article may contain wording that merely promotes the subject..." is still at the top of my article. (Nancy Sutley) I was hoping to get the removed immediately. I'm not sure who else to contact about this, so I'm hoping for some feedback/help! Thanks!

Found this hilarious

Some one made a Facebook page for Watervliet (town), New York, a town that doesnt exist. And stranger even more- 4 people have clicked like on it! Don't know if those 4 realize the difference between the defunct town and the current city, but if one of our lesser known articles can get 4 extra hits through something like this, perhaps some Facebook advertising is a good thing.Camelbinky (talk) 04:10, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I think Facebook links to all WP articles as they become applicable. But somebody would have had to 'like' it. Hey, while I've got you here. Any interest in helping me finish User:UpstateNYer/New York? upstateNYer 04:55, 2 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
