Hi! Why did you remove the greek toiletpaper holder?24.165.233.150 03:49, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Well, i suppose not all of us can have a sense of humor about april fools day... --DiabloMan8890 04:15, 1 Apr 2005 (UTC)

----

I have blocked you indefinitely for vandalising Wikipedia after being warned, specifically 2005 Melbourne Cup. Ambi 04:38, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Interesting concept, give a warning, then block for the same edit. Please note my contributions as I have done a single edit to that particular page. 07:08, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
:Anonymous vandalism still counts against you, I'm afraid. We're not that stupid. Ambi 10:08, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
::What the?? Can you please tell me what article/edit you are talking about then? I haven't done an anonymous edit in months on the rare occasions i've let my login cookies expires and didn't notice. Shogun 23:07, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
:::Ok just tried an edit in a couple of random location and its giving me a can't edit for 'repeated vandalism after being warned; anon sockpuppeteering'. Which I found very confusing, now after digging around I can only assume you are accusing me of the later edits to the 2005 melbourne cup page by 60.240.170.25 and 203.87.43.208. The initial edit which you warned me about was me, though calling it vandalism is maybe a little far fetched as the only people who would have seen it was whoever came along in the next couple of minutes to put in the rest of the results (as evinced by the talk page). The later edits by random people who either put back my silly results or their own variant thereof were NOT me. On what basis do you think I would put that there again, especially as the more complete results had been put up by that point anyway? Shogun 00:46, 4 November 2005 (UTC)

<s> This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize a page, as you did to :Dale Begg-Smith, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. <!-- Template:Test4-n (Fourth level warning) --> This warning is for claiming that Dale Begg-Smith is associated with spyware and giving Haiti sets new date for election as a citation. Andjam 02:51, 17 February 2006 (UTC)</s>

:<s>I find your claim that you were intending to add suspicious considering that it was already in the article. I'm also uninclined to trust the word of someone who deletes previous vandalism warnings. Can you also explain why you said Where does the sandwich related vandalism that keeps being added come from? in the article talk page? It sounds like boasting. Also, was your failure to sign on my talk page accidental? Thanks, Andjam 03:13, 17 February 2006 (UTC)</s>

:: I added the citation directly next to it as it i felt it is currently contentious and a reference would be a good idea to be linked directly next to it. As for the sandwich thing, I simply want to know what it is, I have nothing to do that (I categorically do not do anonymous edits). Oh and the lack of the signature was accidental, I added a signature about 30 seconds after I intially added my comments, so you probably missed it. Shogun 03:20, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

::: (I still can't see the signature - are you sure it was added? Wikipedia's been acting a bit wonky lately) What is sandwich vandalism? Inserting the word sandwich? Also, with images, have you considered uploading to wikimedia commons rather than to English-language wikipedia, so that it can be used in any wikipedia? Thanks, Andjam 03:58, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

:::: Ah I think I got a Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still doesn't work, try logging out and logging back in. when I first added it, I just got another when when I tried again just now. The sandwich vandalism relates to adding sections claiming he likes sandwiches... Ok thanks for the tip for commons, I might move the things I've uploaded already. Only just realised before that I was uploading somewhere other than commons, always used the same upload location in the past as it worked.
::::: If it helps, I got that same lost session message when editing the Begg-Smith article. I also earlier reverted a sandwich vandal who had put in 'Dale likes sandwiches' into the references. -- Blorg 09:44, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

:::::: Ok quick question, I assume (?) an image uploaded into commons will be accessible by the same image tag as an image uploaded to wikipedia. Therefore I assume that is overriding ... How do I get rid of the wikipedia copy? Shogun 10:52, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

::::::: I guess you could put the en.wikipedia version up for deletion. Since it's not needed, it'll probably be deleted fairly quickly. Andjam 13:20, 17 February 2006 (UTC)

Ski Touring
I saw that you were making some edits to the ski touring section. I made some changes in there recently. I think we should work on beefing that area up a little. I ski on randonee gear, but the rando evangelism stuff had to go. I was thinking maybe link up the ski mountaineering section and alpine touring sections? I am not sure when ski touring ends and ski mountaineering begins. Also maybe we could add in some stuff about spring volcano tours and corn skiing. Unfortunately my pics of Mt. Shasta are all on film. SierraSkier 19:38, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
: I was getting sick of the randocentric views against almost every one of my edits so took a long break from touching that article. I'll take a look at updating it a bit more again soon though. -Shogun 22:51, 7 March 2007 (UTC)

Darmok quotes
Simply stating that the phrases "have meaning" doesn't provide sufficient context or rationale for inclusion; they look like WP:ILIKEIT quote-inclusion, and Wikipedia is "not an opportunity to list the best and worst quotations pertaining to an article's subject." Please don't restore them without providing citation from a reliable, third-party source (which your cited fan website is not) explaining their real-world meaning. --EEMIV (talk) 05:15, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

:: You mean:
* April_1,_2007
* April_1,_2006
* April_1,_2005
* April_1,_2004
* April_1,_2003
etc etc going back to 1999 don't actually exist? -Shogun (talk) 14:43, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

:Okay, so why don't March 30, 2008, March 29, 2008 or March 28, 2008 exist? Why does this one date have significance over any other dates? -&nbsp;<font face="Verdana">CobaltBlueTony™&nbsp;talk</font> 14:57, 31 March 2008 (UTC)
:: Those aren't relevant dates, someone appears to have decided at some point that April_1,_2004 was better than a (more preferable) [[List of 2004 April Fools Hoaxes]] or something like that. I'm just going with the existing 'standard'. Would you prefer to rename all the existing April 1 pages to something like that? -Shogun (talk) 15:08, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

:::Since it is a standard format date, would it be possible to link these dates to the specific calander date on the Month/year pages? (i.e. April 1, 2008 --> April 2008#1)? Just a thought, since what makes a specific date so notable as to have its own page could be highly controversial, and this would eliminate that, with the understanding that notable events on specific dates would be already linked in the month/year article. Just my thoughts. -&nbsp;<font face="Verdana">CobaltBlueTony™&nbsp;talk</font> 15:13, 31 March 2008 (UTC) (P.S. March 2008 has the Current events portal linked onto it. Interesting... )

:::: I'm not %100 sure what you mean, just making the hoaxes list a subsection of the April 2008 page? I doubt that would work as there will be way too much material, check the previous years pages for examples. -Shogun (talk) 15:18, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

:::::Notable hoaxes probably should appear in the April Fools Day article with a chart of these events. -&nbsp;<font face="Verdana">CobaltBlueTony™&nbsp;talk</font> 15:26, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

:::::: Maybe, I'm strongly against a single page for all notable hoaxes ever, the previous pages of hoax lists have survived several years or inspection I don't think we should arbitrarily decide they are no longer notable. Either way there will be many people turning up to add to April 1, 2008 very soon so I suggest non-redirecting it now such that it will attract all material. This can then be culled for notability with the possibly renaming of page(s) for clarity later. -Shogun (talk) 15:34, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

:::::::This would only be notable April Fools' Day hoaxes, needing to meet WP:NOTE. I would recommend not creating the date article until there is at least one notable event to link to it. -&nbsp;<font face="Verdana">CobaltBlueTony™&nbsp;talk</font> 15:37, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

:::::::: Ok, i'm happy with that. -Shogun (talk) 15:41, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Hey, wanted to use your GNU/GPL image on a new traveler based website as part of the main banner.

(It's not for profit so I assume it's ok with gnu/gpl) but I waent to give credit and/or a related limit to it. Do you have a homepage/worksite etc to link to?

Wilderness Diarrhea Getting Killed
Shogun:

:Dunno, but it seems remotely possible you'd be interested in this. Wilderness Diarrhea is getting merged into Travelers Diarrhea by a couple of zealots who seem to have no concept of outdoor interests.

I get around a lot in the outdoors and rarely treat water, but WD article had some good stuff.

:After a couple of weeks of calm discussion, I went ballistic and no longer want to participate. Rational voices might help.

These guys have irrationally convinced themselves that WD isn't a legitimate topic for a Wikipedia article.

:I've pointed out several bomb-proof arguements to no avail. I'd say the strongest is the vast number of published articles that discuss WD as a separate concern from TD. They are both environmental health topics, and obviously the context of each are far different.
:They simply ignore all this.
